HOLY SELF
A project to get in touch with the sacred aspect of one's self.
The painting, in this case the portrait, as a magical mirror to rediscover one's divine nature, restore self-confidence, forgive oneself and recognize oneself as part of the DIVINE that is reflected in us.
Each person who agrees to be portrayed by Anette Zeltner is depicted with symbols and colours that are important to their life. These symbols become keys that open the gates to one's self and begin a fervent dialogue with one's divine aspect that promotes transformation and inner growth.
A valuable work for everyone who want to rediscover their personal power. It is a return to the maieutic power of art in the Socratic sense of the word. It is the art that helps to nourish the light.
ORIXA
The Orixàs are pagan deities identified with the elements and phenomena of nature (animism) that have an equivalent figure in Christian worship (syncretism).
In the Brazilian Candomblé and Umbanda traditions, ancestral spirits are called Orixás and are the expression of the forces of nature.
Under the supreme god Olodumarè are the major Orixás, each linked to a specific domain, who can be contacted by all the faithful in the rituals in their honor to obtain help and protection in every area of life.
The Orixàs (we read Orisciàs) are therefore the ways in which God manifests himself in the Universe and also in human beings. Intact in each of us different Orixas vibrate even if there are only two main ones and they are the spiritual father and mother.
This project represents these divinities that are reflected in each of us.
